For starters, the new Xiaomi 13 series share the same design language; most prominently on its rear panels, which showcases a very clean and minimalist aesthetic. The vanilla model sports a flat display and surrounding frame, while the Pro model exhibits a more rounded overall look to complement its curved screen. Regardless of variant, both come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship chipset, Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers, IP68 water and dust resistance, Android 13-powered MIUI 14, Leica-enhanced imaging features, 50 W wireless and 10 W reverse wireless charging, as well as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC connectivity. The standard model is naturally the smaller of the two, coming in with a 6.36-inch AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, under-display fingerprint authentication, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Accompanying its Qualcomm chipset is a single memory configuration of 12 GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory. Additionally, powering the phone is a 4,500 mAh battery with 67 W fast charging support via USB-C. As for imaging, housed within the square island on its back is a triple camera setup consisting of a regular 50 MP primary sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 10 MP telephoto with up to 3.2 x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultra-wide. Situated within the punch-hole cutout on its display, on the other hand, is a 32 MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, the high-end Xiaomi 13 Pro features a larger 6.730inch curved LTPO AMOLED display with 1440 x 3200 pixel resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1 billion colour output, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support, under-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Like its sibling, it is also offered with 12 GB of RAM, but comes with a higher storage configuration of 512 GB. It also is equipped with a slightly bigger 4,820 mAh battery, which features a faster 120 W charging support via USB-C. Helming the phone’s rear triple camera setup is the 1-inch Sony IMX989 50.3 MP sensor with laser autofocus and OIS. This is then accompanied by two regular 50 MP sensors for its 3.2x optical zoom telephoto camera and its ultra-wide. It’s also worth noting that all three shooters are encased with Leica developed lenses. Lastly, like the standard model, the Pro variant too comes with a 32 MP selfie camera in front.
