For the uninitiated, U Mobile first kicked off its Home Broadband strategy back in September of last year, after establishing a partnership with Tenaga Nasional subsidiary Allo Technology and launching This enabled the company to launch its existing high-speed home internet plans, which currently leverages on its collaborator’s fibre broadband infrastructure. The service initially debuted in Melaka, Cyberjaya, Perak and Kedah as a pilot, and was eventually expanded to more areas in Malaysia. Its latest joint venture, on the other hand, further expands U Mobile’s home broadband focus and service reach, especially to customers residing in apartments and condominiums through TIME’s infrastructure. Much like with its current partnership with Allo, this allows the telco to provide households in high-rise residential areas in major cities with its own unlimited fibre broadband plans, which grant speeds up to 1Gbps. As before, U Mobile promises ulta-fast speeds, reliable connection, and the best value for money through its three existing Ultra Unlimited Home Fibre Broadband plans. These include the 1 Gbps option for RM 299 per month, 500 Mbps for RM 199 per month, and the entry-level 100 Mbps plan for RM 129 per month. Those interested can check whether their home falls under U Mobile’s fibre broadband coverage by visiting its official website through this link. If eligible, customers may sign up for the service online or via the telco’s physical stores. Successful applications will be notified through a phone call within 5 working days after registration, and an installation date will be arranged soon after.
