The newly launched phone comes with the same notched 6.5-inch LCD panel with 720 x 1600 pixel resolution as the Galaxy A04s but features a lower, unspecified refresh rate. Another notable difference between the two is the lack of any fingerprint-based biometric authentication features on the Galaxy A04. Nevertheless, it does come equipped with a loudspeaker, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a USB-C port for data transfer and charging. Under the hood of the phone is an unspecified octa-core 2.3/1.8 GHz processor, up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 64 GB of internal storage (with up to 1TB of external storage support via microSD), and a 5,000 mAh battery with no fast-charging capability. The Galaxy A04 also features up to 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, but lacks NFC support. Meanwhile, handling all things software is Samsung’s ONE UI Core 4.1 platform which is based on Android 12. In terms of imaging, the new entry-level device only comes with a dual camera setup on its back, consisting of a 50 MP f/1.8 primary shooter and a 2 MP f/2.4 depth sensor. Additionally, housed within the notch on its display is a 5 MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. For the Malaysian market, the Samsung Galaxy A04 is available now via the brand’s online store and authorised retailers nationwide at a starting price of RM 479 for the 3 GB + 32 GB configuration, and RM 559 for the 4 GB + 64 GB trim. As for colour options, the newly launched phone is offered in Black, Copper, and Green. (Source: Samsung Malaysia [1] [2])
