What’s more, the company says that only 6,000 units of this particular version exist worldwide, though it did not specify how many units have been allocated for the local release. And for those lucky enough to secure a unit, a card that indicates your unit’s production number is included in its equally special packaging for bragging purposes.
Speaking of its packaging, other goodies that come together with the phone include a bottle cap themed SIM ejector pin, two sheets of Realme and Coco-Cola stickers, a compatible SuperVOOC fast-charging brick, a USB-C cable, and silicone case. In case you’re wondering, the latter is merely a generic clear case and does not feature any elements representing the world-famous soft drink. Without a doubt, the biggest highlight of this limited edition variant is the Coca-Cola theme that’s tastefully reflected not only on the phone’s look, but on its user interface as well. Of course, there are also more exclusive features onboard, but we’ll get to that later. For now, let’s first talk about its design. Hands down, the Coca-Cola Edition is the best-looking colourway of the Realme 10 Pro to date. This is mainly thanks to the unique design elements and colours not found on any other versions of the phone in the market; namely the slick black metal frame, bright red rings around both of its main cameras, and the gorgeous two-tone rear plate. The latter of which features a reflective splash of the fizzy drink’s branding on its larger red half, which is nicely reminiscent of the canned version of its drinks. Another but smaller version of the logo can be found etched on the left side of the phone’s frame. Personally, I really like what the company has done with the Coca-Cola edition of its Realme 10 Pro, and I can’t stress enough on how much I want other brands (including Realme itself) to also go that extra mile into making their regular smartphones look just as good. With this and some other notable limited editions as shining examples, there’s so much beauty that can be brought out by adding accents, definitive patterns and multi-tone colour schemes. External visuals aside, greeting you after waking up its display is a Coke bottle-inspired version of the smartphone brand’s Realmeow mascot on the lock screen which, by the way, is also available as an actual figurine. However, the company noted that this particular collectibles is a limited edition gift that’s not for sale to the public. Bummer. Back to the phone. Another exclusive lock screen feature available on the Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola Edition is the unique bubble-themed charging animation that appears on Realmeow’s belly whenever you charge the device, which is pretty cool yet amusing at the same time. Meanwhile, unlocking the phone will then treat you to a special rendition of the Realme UI, which features numerous Coke-themed icons presented in bright red.
Let’s not forget that the fizzy drink does pride itself on its memorable audio cues which, unsurprisingly, also made their way onto the limited edition smartphone. Set as default is a short ringtone based on Coke’s signature jingle, and two original notification alerts that are based on the opening a drink can and the sound of fizzing bubbles. And that’s not all, snapping photos will trigger a unique bottle opening camera shutter sound.
Speaking of the camera, the Realme 10 Pro Coca-Cola comes with one new filter, dubbed as “80s Cola.” Accessible only via the Street photography mode, the exclusive filter basically adds a red hue and increases the contrast of your shots, resulting in an almost retro-like finish. To be honest, the effect is barely noticeable and I have to regard this as the least interesting Coke-based feature offered.
As for the rest, everything else on the limited edition Realme 10 Pro are mostly unchanged from the original release. Present is the same flat 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2400 pixel resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, 5,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging via USB-C, 16 MP selfie camera, as well as a dual rear camera setup with 108 MP primary + 2 MP depth imaging sensors. Additionally, this particular variant comes with a memory configuration consisting of 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage.
Like the vanilla model, the gorgeous Coke-flavoured Realme 10 Pro too is a decent smartphone with above average specifications and features, which is sufficient for typical day-to-day use and then some. Moreover, the fact that it is a mid-range offering is another highlight that makes it even more desirable in terms of value. More specifically, the novelty smartphone is now available at RM 1,399, which is only RM100 more than the original. Nevertheless, it is still one of the more affordable special edition releases available, though its limited availability is undeniably a hurdle for Coca-Cola fans and collectors alike.
