While we don’t know what are the official specs of the phone just yet, the latest finding from resident tipster Kevin Ng TK almost certainly confirms the existence of a POCO F5 Pro. The unannounced smartphone has been spotted in SIRIM’s database, meaning that it has already received certification from the Malaysian authority.
According to MCMC’s CheckYourLabel app, the POCO device got its approval just today with the model number 23013PC75G. The brand has not announced anything regarding the lineup yet but with the SIRIM certification, it is a strong indication that we will see the series debut relatively soon. If the F5 Pro is actually just a rebadged Redmi K60, then we already know what we can expect from the phone. The K60 sports a 6.67-inch 1440p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nit peak brightness. Inside, the phone runs on last year’s flagship chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 and is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and a maximum configuration of 512GB of storage, although rumours claim that the POCO version will only get 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It is powered by a large 5,500mAh battery with support for 67W wired and 30W wireless charging speeds. On the camera side, it features a 64MP primary sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro lens, and a 16MP selfie camera. The base model of the Redmi K60 starts from CNY2,499 (~RM1,610), so it wouldn’t be surprising if the POCO F5 Pro carries a similar price tag. But as usual, we’ll keep you posted once the line-up is officially announced by Xiaomi in the near future. Thanks for the tip, Kevin Ng TK!
