A Twitter user going by the username @aaronp613 has revealed that iOS 17 developer beta code contains references to a new MagSafe charger with the model number A3088 and a new MagSafe Battery Pack with the model number A2781. While there is no confirmation or announcement from Apple regarding the launch of any such accessory, it is anticipated that the new MagSafe charger and battery pack will arrive with a USB-C port.  In 2022, Ming-Chi Kuo said that Apple will switch to a USB-C port to abide by the European Union law. He further said that after the USB-C port appears on iPhone 15 series, Apple will also launch several accessories including AirPods, MagSafe Battery pack, Magic Keyboard, mouse, and trackpad with USB-C ports. Currently, Apple offers a Lightning port in the MagSafe battery pack. There are chances that the iOs 17 beta code refers to the MagSafe battery pack with a USB-C port. If that is the case, we will have to wait until the fall to see the new accessories with USB-C ports. In a piece of related news, as per a report by Chargerlab, which is usually considered a reliable source when it comes to charger-related information, upcoming iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro models will support both Qi2 and MagSafe wireless charging protocols to offer 15W wireless charging speed to users.  Currently, Apple offers two wireless charging speeds for its iPhones – 7.5W and 15W. Latter is only supported by those chargers that integrate the proprietary MagSafe charging protocol. The 7.5W charging speed is available for third-party wireless chargers. For the uninitiated, Qi2 is a new charging protocol that offers 15W fast charging speed and is based on the company’s own MagSafe protocol. As compared to MagSafe, the new Qi2 module costs about one-third the price of MagSafe and does not require to be certified by Apple’s  Made for iPhone (MFI) program.
