Despite several rumours about the event already floating on the internet, Apple is trying to create hype about its event through various measures.

WWDC2023 Power Up Apple Music Playlist

The latest attempt by Apple to popularise its developer event is creating an Apple Music playlist. The Cupertino-based company has launched a new playlist on Apple Music titled “WWDC23 Power Up”. The playlist was unveiled by Apple in a tweet which reads, “A new era begins. Join us for #WWDC23 on June 5 at 10 a.m. PT. Tap the [Heart] and we’ll send you a reminder on the event day.” Apple will send a personalised message with a reminder to watch the WWDC online event on June 5 and a thank-you tweet with a link to the WWDC2023 Power Up playlist. The playlist has 25 songs from popular pop artists like Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa and more. The playlist is expected to excite users with the songs and prepare them for the exciting event. The playlist features “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus, “Summer Baby” by the Jonas Brothers, and “Eyes Closed” by Ed Sheeran amongst popular tracks. Apple writes in the description of its WWDC 23 Power Up playlist, “Kick off your session-and your summer with the season’s biggest artists”.

Reality Pro: The Biggest Announcement at WWDC 2023

This year’s WWDC event is a special one as hinted by Apple in the tweet with the phrase “A new era brings”. This probably hints at the upcoming AR/VR headset by Apple, which is rumoured to be launched under the Reality Pro name. It will be the leading and most anticipated announcement at the event. As per rumours, the Apple Reality Pro headset is expected to arrive with a ski goggle-style design and an external battery pack and it could be priced at around $3,000. Apple is expected to host a series of sessions for developers at its WWDC event “devoted to the development of the software for the new headset.” Mark Gurman, known for his accurate reports about Apple products and announcements, recently revealed that this will be one of the longest keynotes in Apple’s history and the keynote will last for around 2 hours.  In addition to Reality Pro AR/VR headset, several new Macs are also expected to be announced on June 5, 2023.
